It would be good to rather than just show the next event, have a configurable dropdown to choose how many events you want to show (like for example the twitter widget)
Good idea. Maybe have a multi-space version which has your next event in larger letters, with a list on the side.

Hi Guys - I'm hoping we'll have Google Calendar integration pretty soon. In the meantime here's a mockup of how the initial version will look.

This would be awesome if it worked with Google Apps oAuth instead of Regular Google Accounts :)

Being able to subscribe to a number of public calendars (like public holidays for multiple countries) without having to log in to anything would be great too.

Thanks Robert, that's a useful suggestion! Would you want to display all calendars on a single widget or have a widget per calendar?
I would like to be able to display n calendars (either logged-in or public subscriptions) per widget--it should be totally the user's choice.
All day events show as 12:00am, would it possible to remove the time for these events?

Would be great to be able to limit to just todays events. We have over 3 months of meetings booked in advance which means the widget keeps cycling through the future events and spends little time on today!
