Geckoboard user @steveWINton (Steve Winton) has made a couple of custom widgets to track your Facebooks Fans and Twitter followers available to all Geckoboard users (no coding required) - you can see Steve's instructions at http://j.mp/geckowidgets.

The percentage increase/decrease doesn't show for me... any ideas?
Same problem for me -- no change shown, just the current value.
I get an access denied error when trying to setup both of these widgets. Anyone else have this problem or know how to resolve? Thx!

We recently added GET requests to our widgets, where we previously only had POST requests. Due to this we now have option saying 'Request type' in widget configurations. For these widgets please select "POST", it is automatically set to "GET" which will give you "Access Denied". Sorry for the problems caused, it is a new addition to our widget configurations.

Hi Anthony and Michael,
This problem could be because it was a new widget, your widget needs to have access to the data for 24 hours before it can do a comparison. I hope this problem is now resolved for you.

I got the twitter followers widget built and installed properly, but after awhile of showing the correct data it just randomly started showing up as "0". I deleted and re-added the widget and it worked again for a bit, but then eventually went back to showing "0" again.
Any ideas why and what I could do to prevent that from happening?

I have the same problem as Anthony and Michael, the percentage increase/decrease doesn't change (only the current value changes) althogh i created the widget serval days ago.

I'm really sorry I'm not sure what the issue could be. You could try contacting Steve to see if he has any idea about what the problem could be. I've added a new widget today and I will monitor it over the next few days to see if there is an issue with mine.

I get access denied for both the twitter and facebook widgets. I have tried both GET and POST
Both of these widgets have stopped working for me over the past week or so.

I also have problems with facebook and twitter widgets for many days now, access denied.
I am a paying customer so please fix this problem soon.

Apologies for the difficulties with this. I'm afraid we are not able to fix the issue with these widgets as we do not have access to them. I would recommend using GeckoFuel for similar widgets for now http://geckofuel.com/.

The Facebook widget shows number but not change for me, and the Twitter one does not work at all. Does anyone have any updates on what could be going on?
Hi Ryan, both are 3rd party widgets, so they're not officially supported but if you can supply the facebook page name and Twitter handle you're using then I can look in to this some more for you. Thanks.
