Support a description for the value in Custom Text Widget

Currently the XML schema for the Custom Text Widget has a <text> node but it's not used in the display of the widget. It would be super useful to just display the value of the text next to the value in the widget.

So if it was Value=10 and Text=Users, the widget currently displays "10" instead of the more useful "10 users".

Hi Trevin - thanks for the suggestion. You're right, the text node is not used in the display of small (1x1) widgets but it is actually used in the 2x2 number & secondary stat widgets, this is mainly due to space requirements.

However, I can certainly see where your suggestion of an extra field might have a benefits especially if you could specify it as a prefix or suffix to the number itself and particularly if limited to only a few characters.

I see that "prefix" is available, typically used for currency.

Can you add a "suffix" for units.  For my use case, I want to show percentages for the values.  So "suffix" : "%" would allow me to show

10%

+1

We get '%' suffix from 3rd party providers metrics like GA, but we can 'type' the data coming from our own API... That would gretly enhance the readability of our internal dashboard.

Thanks,

We would also be very interested in having the text node show up in the 1x1 number widget.  Strange but I found image of a geckoboard that seemingly has text below a number in a 1x1 widget.

Thanks
