"Geckoboard failed to start. Please refresh the page to try again". How can I fix this?

At times, a dashboard may fail to load and you'll get an error message and screen which looks like this: 


IMPORTANT: This is more likely to occur on low powered devices. Unfortunately, there might not be a fix if you are using one of these discouraged devices (other than using a device that fulfills our minimum requirements). If that isn't your case, please try the solution below.




  1. While on the dashboard, perform a "hard" refresh a couple of times. A hard refresh is a way of clearing the browser’s cache for a specific page, to force it to load the most recent version of a page.

  2. If that doesn't resolve the problem, you'll need to fully clear your browser's cache.
