Refresh rates for Google Sheets

Google Sheets connected via Google Drive automatically refresh within 3 minutes from the spreadsheet's last update.

Google Sheets connected via a direct link will refresh every 15 minutes.

Refresh rates for .xlsx files

For .xlsx files hosted in Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, the refresh rate is around every 15 minutes.

Refresh rate when using import functions

Widgets powered by import functions, such as ImportRange or ImportData, automatically refresh around every 15 minutes.

Be aware, though, that using data from multiple import functions with their own refresh intervals in the same connected spreadsheet can affect the accuracy of the data displayed.

How to manually refresh widgets

Manually refresh your spreadsheet while adding a new widget

After connecting your spreadsheet to Geckoboard, you'll reach the select data screen.

Click the Refresh sheet in the bottom left corner:

Manually refresh your spreadsheet while editing a widget

To manually refresh a spreadsheet that's powering an existing widget, simply edit the widget. Then click Reload spreadsheet.
