Get notified in Slack or Microsoft Teams when a metric enters or leaves a warning or success state.
Metric alerts keep your team on top of important changes to your key metrics, wherever they are. When a Number or Gauge widget crosses a threshold you set, Geckoboard posts an alert to the Slack or Microsoft Teams channel of your choice.

Step 1: Set a threshold
Alerts are triggered by status indicators, so you need to set a threshold first.
Hover over the top right of your Number or Gauge widget, click the ellipsis, and select Status indicators.
Set the Display field to Warning or Success, then add the threshold value that should trigger it.
If you like, repeat this for the other status.
💡 Status indicators also show a red or green highlight on the widget itself. Learn more about status indicators.
Step 2: Choose where to send the alert
In the Get an alert section of the same panel:
Select Slack or Microsoft Teams.
In the Post to field, select the channel you want to be notified in.
Click Close.
Connect Slack for the first time
In the Get an alert section, select Slack.
In the window that opens, select the Slack workspace you want to connect.
Once connected, open the Post to field and select the channel.
Click Close.
Connect Microsoft Teams for the first time
In the Get an alert section, select Microsoft Teams.
In the Teams window that opens, click Add (or Open).
If you can't click this button, ask a Teams admin to do it for you.
Select the channel you want to post alerts to, then click Go.
Click Connect in that channel.
In the new window, click Connect again.
Go back to your Geckoboard tab, open the Post to field, select a team, then select the channel.
Click Close.
