After adding a new New Relic widget from your dashboard, give your connection a name to differentiate it from any accounts you add later on.
Next, enter your REST API key and Account ID. New Relic offers several different types of API keys. It's important that you create a REST API Key. If you've already got your REST API key, skip to step 7.
From the New Relic menu bar, select Account Settings, then API Keys.
On the right side of the screen, under the "Not seeing your keys?" section, click the link to REST API key.
Click Create REST API Key, or copy your existing key.
In Geckoboard, paste the API Key into the connection panel.
Select your Data region. You can determine your data region by checking the URL when you're logged into your New Relic account.
If it's
one.eu
then it's EU; otherwise it's US.Click on the Connect button to start creating your New Relic widget.
To connect a different New Relic account to the one you've already connected to Geckoboard, see connect multiple accounts to data sources.
