Widget message: 'No data to visualize'

You may see this message when no data has yet been collected that the widget can use to build its visualization.

Updated over a week ago

Geckoboard widgets are constantly refreshing. It's possible, though, that on occasions, the most recent value can't yet be calculated, and you'll see a No data to visualize message.

This message isn't an error; rather, it is typically expected behavior, based on your widget configuration. We will display this message when there isn't yet any data that the widget can use to build its visualization. This is a temporary state.

How can I figure out why I'm seeing the 'No data to visualize' message?

We suggest reviewing your widget configuration to determine what data you expect to see and whether you actually have any data available yet. Edit your widget to review the configuration. As soon as the widget successfully gathers the data required to build its visualization, the data will be displayed.

For example, if your widget's time period is set to Today and you have no data for the metric as of today, there is no data available to visualize on the widget, and you will see this message. However, as soon as the widget has data available for your configuration, the data will be displayed.

If you often see No data to visualize, we reccomend adding filters to better control its output, or changing the metric's time period.
