To sort data for column and bar charts in Geckoboard you'll need to be using one of these data sources:

When the X-Axis is not set to either a date or datetime, use the chart options menu to select what to sort by.

Grouped fields will be available as the X-Axis options. Sort by the desired field when building your custom report for Geckoboard, then save and run the report.

Use the sort() function in your spreadsheet outside of Geckoboard before creating your column chart or bar chart using our Spreadsheets integration.
