Manage roles for existing members

To change member roles, you must have the same role or a higher role than the member you are modifying.

How do I modify roles or permissions for a user?

If you need to modify the role a member has, follow the steps below:

  1. While logged in, click People at the top of your account.

  2. In the new modal that appears, select Manage people.

  3. Find the member you wish to modify, then click the ellipsis ⋮ .

  4. Depending on what current role the member has, you will see various options; select the modification you wish to apply the change immediately:

    1. Promote to account owner

    2. Revoke account ownership

    3. Promote to organization member

    4. Demote to limited dashboard access

    5. Manage dashboard access (only for limited access members)

    6. Resend invite

    7. Delete user

How do I modify what a limited-access member can access?

To change the permissions for a limited-access member, follow these steps:

  1. Complete the steps in this section until you reach the Manage dashboard access step.

  2. In the modal, choose whether the user can use Interactive view or only view dashboards.

  3. Toggle any dashboards on or off to grant or revoke visibility.

  4. Click Update to save your changes.
