Use our Google Analytics data source to display your Google Ads data on your Geckoboard dashboard. To do this, you'll need to link your Ads account to

When should you use this over our Google Ads data source?

In almost all cases you should use our Google Ads data source to display your Ads data. The key exceptions are when you want to:

  • See data across the whole account: In Google Analytics you can see data without needing to filter by a particular campaign or ad group.

  • Access additional metrics: Connecting via Google Analytics gives you access to metrics not yet available in our Google Ads data source.

  1. When configuring a Google Analytics widget, open the Metric menu and look for the Adwords category in the left column. From the right column, we'll pick Cost.

Use the tree select menu to find your Google Ads metric
  2. Open the Time menu to select a timeframe for your data. You can also create a custom timeframe from the bottom of the select menu.

For Number widgets and Line charts, you can Compare to previous period. For example, the widget below compares Today to the Same day last week.

  3. Select Filter results to filter out the specific ad group or campaign you want to see data for.

If you want to see results for multiple ad groups or campaigns at once, then you can group your data using either a Column chart, Bar chart, Leaderboard or Table.

  4. When you've finished configuring your widget, click outside of the menu to close it before adding a descriptive title.
