The Split by feature can be helpful if you want to bucket your data to keep track of specific segments. For instance, this can be useful if you have multiple Groups in Zendesk Support and want to track their performance for the same metric on a single chart.

How to use the Split by function
From your dashboard, click + Add widget.
Search for the data source you wish to use and select it.
In the Display field, choose the metric you want to show.
In the visualization field, select a Line or Column chart.
Click Split by, then open the drop-down and select the field you wish to split data for, then click Apply.
Configure any other settings necessary and click Save.
