Add a Facebook widget to your dashboard

Geckoboard's Facebook integration has been designed for Facebook Pages.

Important note

This integration cannot be used with personal Facebook profiles.

Facebook Pages allow individuals and organizations to connect with their fans on the world's most popular social network.

You can customize your Facebook Page by posting stories, hosting events, adding apps and more. People who like your Facebook Page and their friends can get updates in News Feed.

Create a new Facebook widget

To create a Facebook widget for your dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Click Add widget, located in the top right of your dashboard.
  2. Search for Facebook using the Search sources field.

Alternatively, you can also scroll down the alphabetical list of integrations until you reach the Facebook integration.
  3. Click on the Facebook integration.

Is this is your first Facebook widget?

You'll need to connect your Facebook account to Geckoboard. If not, you can skip to configuring your Facebook widget.

Creating a connection and authenticating with Facebook

When adding your first Zendesk widget, you'll be asked to create a connection and authenticate your Facebook account with Geckoboard. You only need to create this connection once – we'll take care of the rest.

Facebook uses OAuth to authenticate meaning you will briefly be taken to Facebook to allow Geckoboard to access data associated with your Facebook Pages.

Once connected, Geckoboard will pull in the data from your Facebook Page straight to your dashboard. You only need to create the connection once, Geckoboard will take care of the rest.
