Add a Facebook widget to your dashboard

Geckoboard's Facebook integration has been designed for Facebook Pages.

Important Note:  This integration cannot be used with personal Facebook profiles

Facebook Pages allow individuals and organizations to connect with their fans on the world's most popular social network. 

You can customize your Facebook Page by posting stories, hosting events, adding apps and more. People who like your Facebook Page and their friends can get updates in News Feed.

 

Adding a Facebook widget to your dashboard


Begin by searching for Facebook whilst logged in to Geckoboard. Once you’ve found Facebook, choose from the list of widgets you’d like to add.

Creating a connection and authenticating with Facebook


Before you can add the widget, you will prompted to create an connection and authenticate your Facebook account with Geckoboard.

Facebook uses OAuth to authenticate meaning you will briefly be taken to Facebook to allow Geckoboard to access data associated with your Facebook Pages.

Once connected, Geckoboard will pull in the data from your Facebook Page straight to your dashboard. You only need to create the connection once, Geckoboard will take care of the rest.

The Page Stats List widget displays metrics in a particular time frame from your Facebook Page as a list.

You can track the following metrics:

Page Stats Number Widget


The Page Stats Number widget displays metrics for different types of interactions in a particular time frame from your Facebook Page as a number.

You can track the following metrics:

  • Engaged Users, Consumptions, Unique Consumptions, Page Place Checkins, Unique Page Place Checkins, Page Place Mobile Checkin, Negative Actions, Unique Negative Actions (Page Engagement)
  • Total Likes, New Likes, Unique New Likes, New Unlikes, Unique New Unlikes (Page Likes)
  • Page Views, Unique Page Views, Logged-in Page Views, Logged-out Page Views (Page Views)
  • Page Impressions, Unique Page Impressions, Paid Page Impressions, Unique Paid Page Impressions, Organic Page Impressions, Unique Organic Page Impressions, Viral Page Impressions, Unique Viral Page Impressions (Page Impressions and Stories)

To track the "New Likes" in the last 7 days, use the following widget configuration:

Post Stats Number Widget


The Post Stats Number widget displays metrics for recent posts on your Facebook Page as a number.

You can track the following metrics:

Post Likes, Post Comments, Post Shares, Post Consumptions, Unique Post Consumptions, Engaged Users, Post Negative Feedback, Unique Post Negative Feedback and Post Impressions.

To track the "Post Likes" of your most recent Page Post, use the following widget configuration:

Page Demographics Bar Chart


The Page Demographics Bar Chart widget display demographic (age group and sex) info for metrics including Page Impressions, Likes and Storytellers in a particular period of time as a Bar Chart.

To track demographic data of "Page Impressions" last week, use the following widget configuration:

Page Stats Line Chart


The Page Stats Line Chart widget compares metrics for different types of interactions during two separate periods of time and displays the comparison as a line chart.

To compare "Total Page Views" in the last 7 days against "Total Page Views" in the last 7 days of the previous month, use the following widget configuration:

Title: Total Page Views in the last 7 days vs a month ago

Size: 4x2
